In vitrofertilizationorfertilisation(IVF) is a process by whichan eggisfertilisedbyspermoutside the bodyin vitro(“in glass”). The process involves monitoring and stimulating a woman’s ovulatory process, removingovum or ova(egg or eggs) from the woman’sovariesand letting sperm fertilise them in a liquid in a laboratory. The fertilised egg (zygote) is cultured for 26 days in a growth medium and is thenimplantedin the same or another woman’suterus, with the intention of establishing a successfulpregnancy.
IVF techniques can be used in a different types of situations. It is a technique ofassisted reproductive technologyfor treatment ofinfertility. IVF techniques are also employed ingestational surrogacy, in which case the fertilised egg is implanted into a surrogate’s uterus, and the resulting child is genetically unrelated to the surrogate. In some situations, donated eggs or sperms may be used. Some countries ban or otherwise regulate the availability of IVF treatment, giving raise tofertility tourism. Due to the costs of the procedure, IVF is mostly attempted only after less expensive options have failed.

Females with both fallopian tubes blocked
Females with one fallopian tube blocked and one open
Borderline male sperm count
Unexplained infertility cases
Coupled who have failed the traditional treatments like timed intercourse, follicular monitoring, IUI etc.

Gone are those days when age was a constraint to experience motherhood and attaining menopause came along with sorrow of inability to reproduce.
